If you visit in June-early Aug expect biting insects. We use an insect repellent that has deet as an ingredient and a light head net helps to keep the bugs out of your mouth/nose ears. It is a couple minute walk in from the parking lot but the stairs to the falls are steep so a toddler would have problems.
