Absolutely beautiful. I know people say you need to visit this place, but I had not idea how nice it was until we visited. Unfortunately time didn't permit a longer walk into Wineglass Bay, but maybe… Full review by Monica D

Beautiful national park, but average. It’s not a unique beauty, nothing was extraordinary. Charging people $45 entry fee per walking person or per car makes no sense at all. Not even Cradle Mountain,… Full review by Ana F

We stayed at Freycinet Resort. It’s very pricey, and they don’t supply everything for meals (you need to eat out for lunch and dinner). Breakfasts are very basic (just cereals and toast etc. no bacon or eggs e.g.) However, the views are spectacular and the surroundings are magnificent. It is truly beautiful and peaceful, with wildlife encounters a delight.
Q:
How long should I allow for visiting Freycinet National Park?
A:
That depends how much you want to see. We allowed about 4 hours, but there was a lot we missed. Still had a great time tho. A full day would be better.

Hi Crackerbow I think the walk you are talking about takes 2 days and is called the Freycinet Peninsula Circuit? If you do a search of the Parks & Wildlife Service you will find the information you want. I tried to include URL's but Trip Advisor doesn't allow them (go figure!) Camping is possible at the southern end of Wineglass Bay or Hazards Beach. December is a very popular time but the ballot for camping only starts on December 18th Dawn

Hi Josy. Yes that is correct. You can buy a day pass on the spot in the carpark (or sometimes at the entry to a park). Alternatively it is often more economical to buy a Holiday Vehicle Pass which lasts you 8 weeks and covers as many as 8 people. check out the parks and wildlife service website, it gives you a lot more detail & you can buy one online. (search for park pass tasmania) it wont let me paste the link
