I’m sorry. We did not have luggage with us so I didn’t notice if there is a storage area. You wouldn’t have a problem keeping a large backpack with you while You tour the grounds.

There are various range of hotels/hostels here. In Mariscal Foch area it is alive in the night and lots of hostels @ around $20-$30 per day. Medium/ Upscale hotels are also there like Akros …
There are various range of hotels/hostels here. In Mariscal Foch area it is alive in the night and lots of hostels @ around $20-$30 per day. Medium/ Upscale hotels are also there like Akros on December avenue and 5* also there. Down south of Quito is historical Churches etc and Foch area is entrance of south but about 3-4 kms and Metro buses are there to reach South comfortably. I don't know if same type of accommodation and activity you will find down South.
When I visited Mitad del Mundo in late May there was an artist exhibiting his work near the "line". I took his portrait at his studio but lost his name and adress there. Can you provide his name and email address so I can send him the photo? Many thanks.

Yes, easily found for bus, taxi , tour. It is just a monument with a museum inside set in the latitudinal location with shops & cultural exhibitions of art & photos
