For over 90 years the Baltimore Domino® Sugar refinery has been supplying the key ingredient that helps bakers everywhere show their families just how much they care. Domino Sugar’s Baltimore refinery is a state-of-the-art facility that produces 40 different products and manages 23 packaging lines. Domino’s Baltimore refinery has the second highest sugar production capacity in the United States and produces 885,000 tons of refined sugar a year. Raw sugar arrives at the refinery on giant ships through the Port of Baltimore. The refined sugar is sent on rail cars to large industrial customers and by truck to your grocery store shelf. Our strength is in our people. We have 442 employees at the refinery—many of whom are second and third generation Domino employees. We sustain an additional 168 jobs through trucking, terminal operations, cargo handling, tugboat operators, and pilots. Our giant neon sign atop the refinery is the sign that Baltimore’s Port is working.
