I went on 10 April 2022, there was no way to book tickets online and so I went in person at 9am when it opened. The line was not long, only about 3-4 people were in the line and it went fast. Anyone could buy tickets independently, a guide was not necessary. There was a small extra charge to get an audio guide, which I recommend as it was helpful to learn more.
