Altona Township is a township in Pipestone County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 192 at the 2000 census. Altona Township was organized in 1880, and named after Altoona, Pennsylvania. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 43.0 square miles, all land.
