As a gent who left 3 score years and ten behind many moons ago I have to confess it is not a question that sprung to my mind. :-) That said, riding a zero c.c. broomstick would not appear to carry much danger. In the passing I did notice the broomsticks being brought to a large 'green' where kids from a local school had gathered and were then split into two groups facing each other about 15 yards apart. They had to ride their broomstick over and around their counterpart in the other group; all the kids were yelling whatever banshee noise they could think of. They were having good fun! However a call to the castle would seem the best bet.
